How parents can help you choose your university

"Selecting the right university is a significant decision in any young person's life, find out how and why your parents can help make all the difference." continues WalesOnline.

Choosing the right university is important to make the most of your degree and have a brilliant experience.

But it’s a challenge deciding between the many universities on offer, and getting the right support to make your decision.

Daisy looked at the Guardian website, and liking the look of the University of South Wales, had a brief discussion with her father, Alan.

“I had never been to Wales before”, said Daisy, “but I spoke to my dad, and realised that the University of South Wales was only about an hour away from home.”

Open days are a must when deciding on which university to attend - not only will you meet the lecturers and find out more about the courses on offer, you’ll be able to get a feel for the university, see the facilities on offer and take a look at your future town or city.

Many universities have a number of campuses, each with a different character and home to different courses, which could influence your final decision.
