But with each passing year we creep closer toward death and our grip on basic algebra gets increasingly tenuous. So what is the super simple math problem reminding us of our advanced age today? Well, that would be:

“9 – 3 ÷ 1/3 + 1 = ?”

According to Daily Mail, only 60 percent of Japanese adults were able to correctly answer the question. I shudder to think how many Americans failed to do the same. Though you might as well give it your best shot anyway as the answer has the potential to surprise you — or, better yet, confirm your brilliance.
