Students at Buckinghamshire Adult Learning celebrate 'fantastic' GCSE results | Bucks Free Press

"Adult learners in Bucks celebrated “fantastic” GCSE results in the newly reformed maths and English exams" notes Shruti Sheth Trivedi, Reporter at Bucks Free Press.

Mariam Ali from High Wycombe celebrated a 9 in maths and an 8 in English language

Sixty eight per cent of students aged between 21 and 67 years studying with Buckinghamshire Adult Learning achieved grades 9-4 in English language and 66 per cent achieved 9-4 in maths.
Mariam Ali, 42, from High Wycombe, achieved a 9 in maths and an 8 in English language.

Originally from Lebanon, Ms Ali volunteers to help others on ESOL classes (English for speakers of other languages) with Bucks Adult Learning. 

She has studied a number of other courses, including creative writing and French, before deciding to study English and maths GCSE to further her career opportunities, and is now studying for the Award in Education and Training with the aim to become a tutor.
