STEM careers: What is it like to study artificial intelligence and how can I use AI in my career? | Artificial Intelligence - Evening Standard

Meet Lucrezia Del Zompo, who is studying AI at Queen Mary University of London as part of an apprenticeship, as Jason Deans, Evening Standard reports.

Lucrezia Del Zompo, 24, grew up in Sardinia and studied subjects including physics, maths, biology, philosophy, history and Latin at the equivalent of GCSE and A-level.  

She moved to the UK for her undergraduate degree in biomedical/medical engineering at King’s College London, before receiving a DeepMind scholarship to do a Master of Science in artificial intelligence at Queen Mary University of London.  

In September Lucrezia started a new two-year course at Queen Mary — a master degree apprentice as a digital and technology solutions specialist. This is a vocational course and Lucrezia is doing an apprenticeship with Siemens Mobility, the transport division of the German multinational engineering company. In her apprenticeship she uses her AI and engineering skills.
