One of Futurelab's central aims is to better understand the role that emerging digital technologies might play in education. To do this, we bring together the education community (teachers, researchers and children) with the technology and creative industries, to build and evaluate prototypes of the sorts of digital resources that might be seen in schools in the future. It is our findings from clusters of related projects, along with our intelligence about other related projects and initiatives, that we report in these handbooks.

I anledning af, at @ventures er blevet omdrejningspunkt for det nye nationale Videncenter for e-læring - eVidenCenter, stilles flere hundrede kvalitets-e-læringsobjekter til rådighed for gratis videndeling og anvendelse.
Læringsobjekterne udgives i en søgefacilitet kaldet @venShare.

Norske NKI Fjernundervisning udgiver snart en ny, gratis bog om e-læring i små og mellemstore virksomheder. Bogen er et resultat af NKIs deltagelse i EU-projektet E-learning Quality in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.
Bogen indeholder 18 casebeskrivelser med erfaringer fra udvalgte SMV'eres erfaringer i Europa. KPMG Norge og NKI Fjernundervisning er blant de mest grundige casebeskrivelser. I tillæg indeholder bogen en analyse af casebeskrivelserne og en opsummering af vigtige successkriterier for e-læring i SMV'ere.

Abstract:
This project aims to design and develop a prototype for an agent that support online collaborative learning. Online collaborative learning, which has emerged as a new form of education in the knowledge-based society, is regarded as an effective method for improving practical and highly advanced problem-solving abilities. Collaborative learning involves complicated processes, such as organizing teams, setting common goals, performing tasks, and evaluating the outcome of team activities. Thus, a teacher may have difficulty promoting and evaluating the entire process of collaborative learning, and a system may need to be developed to support it. Therefore, to promote interaction among learners in the process of collaborative learning, this study designed an extensible collaborative learning agent (ECOLA) for an online learning environment.

BERKELEY – In another innovative move to share its intellectual treasures with the public, the University of California, Berkeley, announced that it is delivering educational content, including course lectures and symposia, free of charge through Google Video.
Because of the quality and quantity of these video offerings, UC Berkeley will be the first university with its own page on the Google Video Web site: http://video.google.com/ucberkeley, campus officials said. The campus is making more than 250 hours of content available to the public through Google Video.
