Despite teachers, parents, and faculty being so eager to get back to in-person learning it seems like returning to the classroom safely, will come with a cost, says Sydney Dorner, Multimedia Journalist at NewsChannel 20.
District 186 board member Micah Miller said when students return to the classroom it will be a very small capacity and sanitation will still be prioritized.
“The cleaning protocol is going to look drastically different," Miller said. "A deep cleaning is going to be required once students are back in the door so the cost is going to go up significantly for not only cleaning material but PPE."...
District 186 officials will talk more about budgeting the cost of hybrid learning at their board meeting Monday, which will be open to the public, starting at 6:30 p.m.
