The Sixth Annual Sloan-C Workshop on Blended Learning and Higher Education, hosted by the University of Illinois at Chicago, will take place April 27 and 28, 2009.
This year’s theme “Getting the Best of Both Worlds” will focus on how institutions are using blended learning to maximize resources and improve learning.

CALL FOR “GREAT IDEA” PRESENTATIONSA “
Great Idea” presentation should be an effective business or instructional practice that you’ve used in your blended efforts. We’re looking for business strategies institutions incorporate for the successful implementation of a blended learning initiative and instructional strategies that provide models for incorporating online and f2f teaching, including the instructional design process, principles and guidelines.
”Great Idea” presentations will occur throughout the two days during the plenary sessions. Presenters will have ten minutes and be limited to three slides.
“Great Idea” presenters will receive a 20% discount on registration.

CALL FOR POSTER SESSIONS
Poster sessions provide an opportunity to share an emerging practice or pedagogical model. Sessions may present a report of a research study, a problem solving solution, a unique organizational structure, or a course outline that may be of interest to the serials community.
Posters will be on display during the Networking Reception on Monday, April 27.
Presenters should be available to discuss their topics during the two-hour reception. Poster presenters will receive a 20% discount off the workshop registration fee.

The Sloan-C Workshop on Blended Learning and Higher Education is the only workshop dedicated solely to blended learning in higher education. The workshop gathers nearly 200 faculty, administrators, instructional media designers and student services professionals from two- and four-year institutions of higher education from around the world.
