DISTANCE Learning is a method of study whereby students do not have
to attend any face-to-face classes. Students that register for a
programme at Richfield pay the registration fee and deposit and receive a
Tablet PC with preloaded study material couriered to them, at home or
work and they engage with the assignments at their own pace on Moodle
which is the Learner Management System.
Many of Richfield’s
Distance students are working class individuals and have access to
internet in their workplaces and at home whereby different forms of
social media as their mode of communication is utilized.
Distance
students attend four structured Workshops per semester and receive
administrative and academic support from registration to writing
examinations to receiving results.
Other institutions may have
great advertising, but may not be registered and accredited to offer
Distance Programmes. Richfield’s programmes are accredited by the
Council on Higher Education and registered with the Department of Higher
Education.
Richfield
has a track record of 27 years in operation and has received several
awards both nationally and internationally for its contribution to
excelling in educational services. All programmes offered include a free

requirements for Distance Learning is when The National Senior
Certificate indicates if a student has admission to register for a
Higher Certificate, Diploma or Degree Programme.

learning is much more affordable than campus-based learning. Richfield

means that the student does not have to spend extra money on study
material at Richfield.
