These new data analysis math lessons are designed to cognitively engage students and increase their intrinsic motivation to learn through the use of student-centered, content-related, purposeful interactions in a game-like setting. The program’s new lessons include age-appropriate themes, characters, and animations that are of interest to elementary students as well as older, struggling learners in middle and high school.
"With Learning Today’s new data analysis lessons, students learn to collect, represent and interpret relevant data using frequency tables, pictographs, single and double bar graphs, and line plots. The lessons are designed to engage students in a sequence of data analysis processes by formulating questions, collecting and representing the data, and taking into account whether their data gives them the information they need to answer their questions," stated Nora Jaegerman, M.Ed., Director of Mathematics at Learning Today, Inc.
