Happy Teacher's Day: 5 teachers who changed the vision of learning

The greatest teacher APJ Abdul Kalam once said "the bird is powered by its own life and by its motivation" , where teachers play the role of creating the motivation in us. Teachers see the possibilities in every child and helps us make a better tomorrow. They teach us that it is not about giving the right answer but asking the right question.

This Teacher's day let's look back to those great teachers who changed the vision of learning:



Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan

The man who's birthday defines Teacher's day, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was the first Vice President and was the first teacher in India. Studying in the Madras Presidency College, Radhakrishnan studied philosophy by chance rather than choice because of financial constrains.

He became a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Mysore, representing the University of Calcutta at the International congresses and even lectured in Oxford on Comparative Religion.

Not only was he a great teacher but also a great inspirer who decided to observe his birthday as Teachers day to remember the importance of teachers in India.
