1. Establish the Need
This is fairly obvious, but you’d be surprised how often it is ignored. In fact, some early mobile learning initiatives have been taken up more for novelty value than for identified real needs. We believe that’s because of the lack of understanding of what mobile learning is and how to use it in the workplace.
Frankly, most organizations can benefit from mlearning, given that the real needs of a specific organization are identified so that the most appropriate solutions can be implemented. You should not do it just because it’s the ‘in thing’ or because everyone else is doing it. Ask yourself -
- Are you finding it difficult to provide training to your mobile workforce?
- Is mobile the only/ best way to provide training/ learning access in some case?
- What do you wish to achieve with mobile learning?
