At the beginning of 2017, Cambodia Living Arts signed a five-year MoU with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts, and UNESCO to pilot the implementation of culture and arts education at Cambodian public schools via a public-private partnership.
On Thursday last
week, CLA launched a creative leadership conference, “Culture & Arts
Education, Now and Next”, to create a networking platform for people
working in culture and arts education.
According to
Suon Bunrith, programme manager of culture and arts education at CLA,
the policy of implementing culture and arts education in public schools
is new.
Mr Bunrith said, “We want all people working in the field of culture and
arts to be able to connect and share information and experiences
including government, civil society, artists, teachers and funding
sources in this field.”
