Website Helps Home Schooled Kids Get Their Education on the Go

Knowledge Quest Inc., a leading provider of online educational resources and curricula for the home schooling market, has just launched website www.apps-school.com to help home schooled kids identify and use the best mobile technology applications for schoolwork.

Many kids today are techno-savvy and carry mobile smart-phones and other handheld devices for communication, but are they using the latest mobile technology apps for education? A series of surveys conducted by Knowledge Quest in 2010 revealed that while kids are enthusiastic about mobile applications, they don't necessarily know how to identify and use them for educational purposes.

The new site allows visitors to browse by subject, such as math, science and language arts, or by company and price. Many of the downloadable applications are free, and those available for purchase currently range from .99 cents to $4.99. Developers and publishers of educational applications for the iPad or iPhone are encouraged to submit their applications to the site so the selection of downloadable applications will continue to grow.
