The total budget earmarked for this call is estimated at EUR 961 million. The level of grants awarded as well as the duration of projects vary depending on factors such as the type of project and the number of countries involved.

The eLearning Papers seeks articles on digital literacy. The papers should address topics such as learning and social (e)inclusion, information literacy, new e-skills and lifelong learning, etc. The deadline for article submissions is 10 November, 2008.

eLEARNING REPORTS
The Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) has published a series of reports on eLearning in the ten Member States that joined the European Union in 2004. The reports describe each country's educational system and the role played by eLearning in it. The research takes into account the major technical, economic, political, ethical and socio-cultural factors of eLearning developments, and the major drivers and barriers for them in each country.

INFORMATION LITERACY: EXPERTS PANEL ROUND TABLE (Fifth EDEN Research Workshop) 21 October 2008, Paris
Information Literacy, alternatively termed as Media Literacy or Digital Literacy, proves to be strongly correlated to the Learning capacity, what may also be named as the Learning-to-Learn Competence. To be able to re-define these literacies in a lifelong learning perspective, we need to face the increasing policy interdependence between Education and Social Inclusion.
