Supporting Language and Content Learning in Math (Video)

Patricia Segura, a 9th grade math teacher at Fremont High School in Oakland, Calif., shows how she scaffolds math instruction for English-language learners to help deepen their comprehension. 

 Students are able to build their vocabulary while simultaneously learning new math content.
