Penn State releases campus diversity, incoming freshmen statistics | What the numbers mean

"The Penn State Admissions Office has released this year’s statistic for admissions requirements for the incoming class of 2021 in the Fall" inform

Here's a look at the numbers.

68.4 percent of all Penn State students are white, 8.6 percent are international, 6.2 percent are Hispanic/Latino, 5.9 percent Asian American, 5.8 percent African American, 26 percent multiple races, less than 0.1 percent Native Alaskan, and less than 0.1 percent Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, according to admissions.psu.edu.

The gender ratio on campus is now 54% male to 46% female which is consistent with the previous year’s statistics.

There are now 76,767 undergraduates at all Penn State campuses, 41,359 of them at University Park.

Freshman academics  
71 percent of students university wide are Pennsylvania residents, 59 percent at University Park.

The average grade point average has remained consistent, with 3.55-3.97 for University Park and 3.05-3.55 for all other campuses.
