The unprecedented outbreak of Covid-19 made it essential for schools to shut down for the collective well-being of the students and staff members. Virtual classes have become the new classrooms, seminars and workshops have turned into webinars, parent-teacher meeting is now happening on a digital forum.
With the introduction of online learning modules by schools, the students have fostered the ability to be more participatory and proactive in the classes. It might be due to the sheer fact that the chances of distraction present in a classroom are reduced significantly when they are learning from the comfort of their homes.
These virtual classes have given the edge to the teachers as well in terms of variety of study material. Before the online class begins, links and PDFs related to the subject being discussed are already disseminated to students for preparing themselves up. Additionally, students are also encouraged to share the online resources that they are able to explore while studying the subject. Internet is a platform with abundant information, and as smart educators, it is our duty to tap onto this very potential for maximum knowledge gain.
