It's called the Blackboard Mobile Learning app, and it gives students and teachers virtual access to their courses, grades and assignments. The app is accessible through most smart phones and tablets.
"Whether it's a student or faculty member, their lives are very busy, on the go," said Flavius Killebrew, president of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi. "It's a way to manage their time more efficiently."
The university hopes to launch a second app in November, which will give users even more access to campus information, like telephone directories, maps and virtual library access.
