West Lothian College unveils new online e-learning courses

"West Lothian College has unveiled a brand new selection of online e-learning courses. The new courses cover topics ranging from business to healthcare and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week." according to Marjorie Kerr, Editor of the West Lothian Courier.

The courses are structured learning packages are secure and they are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, making them accessible and convenient. Courses are wide-ranging covering topics from business to health and safety, housing to healthcare and many more.

Each course contains a series of information screens, video and audio content along with exercises and tests to ensure the learner understands the materials. Online assessments ensure that the content is fully understood and there is a Certificate of Achievement on successful completion, with City & Guilds accredited courses available.

Mhairi Harrington, principal of West Lothian College commented: “E-learning opens the door to a wider audience and provides them with an opportunity to benefit of learning at a time which is convenient to them. The ability to stop and start a package will be particularly useful for people who don’t have a lot of spare time.”
